What is it?
A one-day workshop to Yosemite and back via Amtrak.
This workshop starts at the Emeryville Amtrak station (just across the Bay from San Francisco) with a spectacular train ride to Modesto in CaliforniaÕs Central Valley. We sit in comfortable booths with tables on the upper level of the train with wonderful views. In Modesto we connect to a luxury bus that takes us up the scenic Sierra Nevada mountains to Yosemite Valley. We spend three hours in Yosemite Valley having lunch and a gorgeous walk (or a shuttle ride to the Ahwahnee Hotel in inclement weather) before taking the bus and then the train back to Emeryville in the late afternoon and evening.
How long is it?
All day—from 7:00AM to 10:00PM
We meet at the Emeryville Amtrak station at 7:00AM. The train returns to Emeryville at 9:55PM.
How much is it?
The Yosemite FutureCatalyst Walking Workshop fee is $275 plus transportation costs.
The $76 Amtrak fare is additional, as is the cost of any food you purchase on the trip. The train has a dining car and we will be having a buffet lunch at Yosemite Lodge.
What do you do in the workshop?
I teach a version of the FutureCatalyst Process so you can do it yourself, any time. I also teach a number of other related techniques that can be used in a variety of different situations.
We will have plenty of time together to discuss your particular challenges, both individually and as a group. No personal sharing is required, however.
Each leg of the trip—the train ride, the luxury bus to Yosemite Valley, lunch, walking in the Valley, the bus back to Modesto and the train ride back to Emeryville--focuses on a different approach and takes advantage of each environment.
